Welcomm Celebrates Community Impact at Harborough District Awards 2025

At the Harborough District Community Awards 2025, held on October 9th at Lutterworth College, Welcomm was proudly recognised with the Business-Community Impact of the Year Award 2025. This award reflects our ongoing dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community engagement.

Celebrating Community Engagement

Our team was delighted to attend the Harborough District Business Awards 2025 ceremony, celebrating the achievements of local businesses and organisations. Representing the company, Maria Arnesson, Gabriella Cucci and Francesca Kirn joined fellow professionals and volunteers to recognise the collective efforts that bring people together and strengthen the region. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with individuals and groups committed to enhancing the Harborough District, making it an inspiring evening that highlighted the passion, innovation and collaboration at the heart of the local business community.

“We’re delighted to sponsor this year’s new Business–Community Impact Award, which celebrates local businesses that go beyond profit to make a real difference in their communities. The Chamber firmly believes that thriving local economies are built on strong community connections, and it’s inspiring to see so many businesses across the Harborough district giving back in such meaningful ways.”

– Dr Gareth Thomas, President of Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce

Our Ongoing Commitment to the Community

Winning the Business-Community Impact of the Year Award highlights our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), empowering our people to make a meaningful difference across the Harborough district. Our CSR approach focuses on three key areas:

  • Community Engagement

We’re passionate about giving back locally through regular litter picks, tree planting and community events like pumpkin baking at the Eco Village in Market Harborough, which are all aimed at keeping our environment clean, green and connected.

  • Employee Volunteering

We provide volunteer days for staff to support local causes and community projects. These opportunities strengthen teamwork, encourage personal growth and reflect our shared values of trust and collaboration.

  • Supporting Future Generations

Through initiatives such as Unbox Your Future, helping young people prepare for employment and by partnering with The Big Goal, a nationwide programme with the Street Soccer Foundation, we’re proud to help inspire confidence, build skills and open opportunities for young people.

“It’s so important to recognise the work and impact of all the amazing volunteers and community groups that we are so lucky to have in the Harborough district. The council’s Community Awards are an opportunity to shine a light on just a handful of the fantastic people in the district who work so tirelessly for others in their communities.”

– Cat Hartley, Director of Communities and Wellbeing at Harborough District Council

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and nominees recognised at the Harborough District Community Awards 2025. Your dedication and passion inspire us all. We look forward to continuing our journey of community engagement and contributing to ongoing success across the Harborough District.
