Welcomm Awarded O2’s Excel Business Partner of the Year 2023
Earlier in July, O2 announced the winners of their annual Partner of the Year Awards – recognising their Communication and Technology Partners who provide consistently outstanding customer service and support, as well the highest level of digital knowledge and expertise.
O2’s Best Excel Partner of the Year 2023 is Welcomm Communications, a leading UK telecommunications provider, who takes the crown for the sixth consecutive year. Based in the Midlands, Welcomm provides managed business communication solutions across mobile, telephony, data connectivity, digital applications and IT support.
In recognition of this latest (and unprecedented) award win, we spoke with Welcomm’s CEO, Aidan Piper:
Welcomm are a Midlands-based Communications and Technology partner that aims to transform the way businesses communicate and operate. We do this via a suite of managed business communication solutions, including Business Mobiles, Telephony, Data Connectivity, Digital Apps, IT Support and Utilities. After being in operation for the past 34 years, we are proud to support thousands of businesses across the UK.
Our ethos, right from the start, has been about keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do, and our goal is a simple one: to connect businesses to their customers.
We’ve been a partner of O2, and of BT Cellnet before that, since 1989. It’s a very strong and important relationship that enables us to provide the best digital workplace and connectivity solutions at scale.
O2’s ‘Excel’ partnership is the highest tier of partnership available in the O2 Partner Network. Achieving Excel status requires a huge investment by our business to hit key performance metrics, ranging from maintaining the top levels of training and accreditation, to achieving consistently high customer satisfaction scores. It’s no wonder there are only eight Excel partners Nationwide! We work hard to maintain this accolade, as this top partnership tier unlocks the best support and commercials for our customers.
This win means the world to our people. Having a major network and brand like O2 recognise the hard work that goes on in our business is incredibly rewarding, and credit to our fantastic team. Our staff’s relentless pursuit to achieve the best outcomes for our customers, commitment to their own personal development and dedication to their roles is why we have won the award every year since 2018. As a team, we couldn’t be prouder of each other!
We’re not the largest O2 partner out there, which I think is probably one reason why we are able to achieve such consistently high customer satisfaction scores, where others do not. We take the time to get to know our customers before recommending solutions to them, which helps us build strong, trusting relationships that encourage businesses to work with us for 20+ years!
Absolutely! I think that the one thing that’s certain, is that there’ll be plenty more change to come this year. With the upcoming PSTN switch off (learn more about that here) and many workers returning to the office full-time or in a hybrid way, we’re ready to support and guide businesses through this next transition; to help them embrace and onboard new technologies that help drive productivity, reduce costs and waste, as well as enhance customer experiences via the communication channels of THEIR choice.
