On the 10th of March, Welcomm Communications staff volunteered as timekeepers, number checkers, bar code scanners and marshals at their local parkrun in Market Harborough. Waking bright and early to assist with the community event as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
“We’ve had some lovely feedback from the runners that everyone out on the course today was friendly, loud and supportive - exactly what runners want - so thank you again to one and all. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and it proved a different and hopefully, fun way to start the weekend” comments Roger Pangbourne, the Co-Event Director of the parkrun.
“This is what I love about Welcomm, when we all chip in together we make a positive impact on others and ourselves. We all enjoyed ourselves whilst giving back to the community and it was a great experience!” Says Rachel Williamson, Welcomm’s Operations Director.
Welcomm have gone on to organise a litter picking afternoon, to further support their local town. This giving back initiative is set to continue throughout 2018.
