What is Fibre Broadband?

Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) is a new type of superfast internet access using fibre optic cables to increase the speed of your broadband connection; up to 80 Mbps. The cables run from a telephone exchange or distribution point to the street cabinets, hence fibre to the cabinet. When this modern technology is combined with a standard copper phone line at your premises, it provides you with a high speed broadband connection.
