There was excitement in the air yesterday as Welcomm customers entered the iconic Space Centre venue, greeted by a real life rocket counting down to launch before propelling with smoke and fire.
This display certainly built momentum for the long awaiting event themed around the ‘cloud’ - forward thinking, innovative services which allow businesses to work more efficiently but at a fraction of their current service costs.
Guests entered the Shuttle Suite and took their seats in preparation for Welcomm’s presentation. This began with an introduction from Managing Director, Aidan Piper, then followed with a talk on Welcomm’s service portfolio given by Unified Sales Manager, Sam Mason.
Sam commented, “the whole day was a great success. Welcomm were able to highlight how cloud-based solutions can truly enhance the way a business works and our customers showed a lot of interest and excitement about the products we had on display.”
A highlight of the event was the grand unveiling of Welcomm’s latest video which describes the vast structure they have in place to support their customers moving to cloud-based services. Another attraction for customers was the inclusion of special guest speakers from Welcomm’s industry leading partners Gamma and O2, as well as Akixi and Box. Welcomm are extremely specialised when it comes to their product knowledge, an accolade which has led to them being awarded with the highest level of partner status, though this event was a brilliant opportunity for customers to hear about the latest cloud-based products from the creators themselves.
Welcomm’s marketing manager, Emily Murray said, “events give our customers a chance to hear about innovative products from inspiring market leaders. They can ask the experts questions directly and see live demonstrations for a first-hand experience of some excellent products.”
True to form, the demos that followed the speeches were a huge success. The guests were able to see cloud-based and digital services in action, including Horizon hosted telephony, Akixi reporting, O2 digital services, Box and Ilicomm IT solutions. The insightful day was rounded off with free passes to tour the National Space Centre. From the cloud to space, Welcomm customers really did have an ‘out of this world’ experience.
