Newman University


Introduction

 

Newman University has an excellent record for the quality of its courses, and historically has one of the best graduate employment rates compared to other UK colleges and Universities. In recent years, Newman University has had very positive QAA and OFSTED reports.

Welcomm have been working with Newman University since 2010, when we won their mobility contract based on our account management and customer service.

 

The Challenge

 

Newman University were previously with T-Mobile, which provided no coverage in the area for data usage, and were reluctant to invest more within this area.

No other network would provide Newman University with a monthly spend spread sheet which was ideal for them. This provided a breakdown of the minutes, texts and data usage for each employee, which enabled Newman University to compile and analyse a bill for any users that overspent.

Another element that was very important is that the students who attend Newman University have access to use tablets so that they can do their work efficientlyduring class.

 

 

The Solution

 

Welcomm now have over 60 connections under management.

Colin has a very strong relationship with the customer service team who provide regular bespoke management information to allow the University to bill end users if they spend over an allocated amount.

 This additional MI we provide has made a huge difference to Colin’s working day and resulted in the extension of the existing agreement into 2015.  Additionally our proactive attitude to his mobile fleet ensures the tariff is competitive and that costs are maintained.

 Welcomm also provided Newman University with Tablets so that the students have access to the internet and work-related content during their lecture hours.
